Ambivalence +

High spirited trips on finger tips

eloquence drooling on fragile lips

the velvet blood within our veins

stitch the dark mask amongst our reigns

self-destructiveness, no one sees

hearts and mind, we numbingly seize

negligible efforts and common minds

lack of humour, and absconding true kinds

humanity is a doom

progresses abstain from bloom

so come and go, as you may

life is nothing, and our spirits sway

survival be manually constructed,

we fear potential, and breathe- self-obstructed

break through the shackles of consciousness

the ancestors await spirits' iridescence.

Kavita

 Is a day really enough

To cherish our mothers' love?

For all the sacrifices and troubles

They take for us in doubles

Those overtime shifts and missed vacations

To fill our lives towards quality inclinations

An ode to the best humans created on earth

That give us our best life, right from birth

The first child symbolizes the birth of a mother

And this oblivious child waits for a sister and a brother

While the mother gives all she has

She grows old as the days pass

Old care homes, we drag them in

And silence obliges, like the drop of a pin

But wait a moment, your mother's heart you tore

Still her eyes, with love they glow

Go, give her a hug and spend time together

For moments like these, can be lost forever
